I was thinking of dropping a LS1 in my luv but I would like to see some pic's. Or has any one even done this swap? Think about it, a LS1 with a PRO CHARGER in a light weight Luv! You get decent gas mileage and got a truck that could run into the mid to low 11's with out to much trouble. Sound's good me, So if any one has pic's of a LS1 in a luv please post them.

Do a search there was one on here that had an ls1 swap. Think he spun a rod bearing and wanted to sell it the last I heard....

Here is what some guys did with a stock 5.3, I know it's not a LUV truck, but it shows what you can do to a stock 5.3 LS motor. LS 5.3 are cheaper and easier to find than LS1, LS6 and LS2 in a junkyard.

The turbo 5.3L Fairmont run's it's new best track time, which is quite possibly THE FASTEST stock LSX motor on earth!

Yea I got a buddy who droped a LS1 in to his 66 SS Nova. And he can get me A LS 5.3 or 6.0 pretty easy. So when I get to that stage I'll give him ring. That is if some one does not offer me a trade I can't refuse.

Yea it looks like I might be doing a LS1 swap sooner than I thought. I have a oil leak in my Isu/motor, coming from what looks like the front portion of the motor. I am hoping the head is not warped cause if it is I am not going to bother with fixing it and just go ahead an swap out that motor for the LS1 a LS series motor out of a truck.

its wasnt all stock. well all the parts in it were from gm, but that 5.3 had a Z06 cam. thats all though.

Hey do you have any more pic's of the rear frame rail's of your truck? I would really like to see some more detailed shot's of how you narrowed the rear frame rail's.
