I pick up the Bravada rolling chassis with engine in March! Yeahhhhh! It has to wait until I get the garage cleaned up (garage = storage) to park it and also get a trailer to transport it. Total cost, $400. Even my wife said not to pass this up. That makes me feel great as now I have a running 4.3 (he replaced the heads and has it running), transmission and complete drive train. Can't wait!!!
This sure makes me feel better now. I finally finished installing the 383 Stroker in that S10 and on the road test, SCARED THE CRAP out of myself. I had forgotten what it's like to have so much power in such a light truck. Definately will need to box the frame here! The deal we made is gone as Jerry told me AFTER finishing his truck, he won't be able to get the 4.3L he promised. Seems some of us are just old fashioned and believe words are just as good as having it in writing.
With the Bravada I gave Mike $200 now, and HE handed me a receipt for the money and what it is for, to protect both of us as he has been burned before like this. Will be posting pics when I get it home. I
f anyone has pictures/line drawings of a Bravada chassis, please let me know so I can start with the critical measurements I'll be needing. Thanks.

Wheel base is 99 inches, if you plan on doing a body swap, some frame lengthening will be required...

Dang, I have to add 3-1/2" somewhere! Maybe changing over the drive system to the LUV chassis is possible. Have to add that to the thought process.
If anyone has a pic or can direct me to a website though, I'd appreciate it. The chassis is 125 miles from me and don't really want to drive that far just to get pics.

With 1 3/4" on each end you could probably fudge that much but you could move the rear suspension 2"s rearward and nobody would notice as you would move the front forward and that would give you the no cut fender clearance that most of us would die for.

That seems fairly easy enough. The driveshaft would require lengthening. HHmmmmmmm.

think hard about that swap..... that all time 4x4 system is super expensive to repair.

look at the typhoons and cyclones and the issues they have with any kind of power and the driveline.

Can it be set up for rear wheel drive only? I didn't pay any attention how the front wheels are powered. Rear wheel drive only would still be worth that price.

Went to pick up the Bravada Chassis. I told him to keep it and got my money back. While we were positioning it for the trailer, my wife noticed oil all over the side of the engine. I grabbed a rag and wiped it off thinking it was just dirty. The engine block is cracked! I stopped the loading and we talked about it. After an hour of looking and questioning Mikes employees, we found out they had jury rigged it to drive around the yard and were doing donughts, trying to get air over a small bump, and I wasn't told the rest. They assumed it was sitting there to be played with! Final inspection was since the chassis had been stripped bare, it had twisted, the block cracked from landing on junk lying around, and I wasn't going to take chances on the rest. This has turned out to be a crappy week so far!
Pull-a-part here I come! Any info on what I can and can't do at a Pull-A-Part. never been to one, only junk yards.
