well i went out whith my buddy and played in some mud. We ended up finding a nice open flat area (about 1/4-1/2 mile) that was flat(by off road standards, by street standards is was a horrible road) and just slicked whith mud, so we whent to testing acceleration on slick surfaces. One thing led to another and we started racing (my luv, an 80 GMC on 40" boggers whith a 454, and an 82 Subruban on 36" swampers whith a 350) well my buddies GMC smoked the Sub twice. Then i decided to stop video and join in. Well the LUV never found tracion i dont think and was going at about a 25* angle (the tail slid to the right realy well) but what do ya know, that little 1.8L pulled out a tie against the big 454. I dont know what it was but the luv didnt go off the line well at all but the fact that i can run my motor up to 6000rpm before a shift did it for me (shifting gears on mud is a death sentence). So now after that and the i dont know how many times i have jumped my truck my title as the Mountain Explorer(this is what my buddies from high school and i call our group) Pre Runner(its what my screen name is an acronim for) is upheld, i cant wait untill i get swampers on my luv...
oh and by the way i think s[peeds were getting up around 35mph
