1. does anyone have a good clean shot of their stock front bumper? i wanna check something in comparison to mine

2. how can i find the stock color for my truck? in the end after the motor and suspension are done id like to have it painted the factory original paint color. its orange now .. so i am assuming it was red? i actually have a lot of original paperwork from the day it was purchased .. all the info that i got was "red"

Why are you assuming it was red??? Orange was a factory color, my brother had an orange long bed. :?:

I think there were a couple of different shades of orange used through the years, wnrfrshluv's truck is a factory orange also.

i didnt know they came factory orange. the little bit of original paperwork i have says red. i guess a darker orange could have been called red by mistake.

can i figure out the original color by the VIN?? and i pulled the plastic floor mat up because it was nasty and thats the cleanest paint period on the truck. looks damn near new around the channel where the shifter sits. i can take a picture. its ... dark orange, but i wouldnt say ... RED. i dunno.

so its totally flat on the top of the bumper? both of mine have damn near the exact "ripples" under the grill to the left and right of them. i can take a picture .. i know that sounds confusing. i just wanted to see a perfect condition bumper. ive not yet decided if i want to fix either of these or just look for a new bumper

There are some color charts on feebay right now. There is an orange factory color, but in the photo the print is so small I can't read the code number. Maybe you eyes are better than mine and you'll be able to read the color code.

Nope, should be totally flat, here is a little bit lower angle of mine. I think 99% of these trucks have had thier bumpers "bumped" at one time or another and sounds like yours has. The yellow stepside I will be posting in the classifieds soon for I guy I know, I thought had a perfect bumper but it has those 2 little bumps in it also. Mine isnt the original bumper, luckily I crunched mine when you could still get replacements.
