i have a 77 2wd. i have posted pictures (i think). overall its in pretty good shape. needs tires, windshield, few other minor things to get plates.

i am picking up an 80 for parts. title said needs clutch, dont care, it has all the other stuff i need.

ill be pulling all the glass from the 80, putting the windshield and door glass on my 77. the donor has 4 basically new tires, clean gas tank (mine is all dirtied up from sitting so long), and other little random things that ill be swapping over.

my friend says mine needs the clutch bled. i have no clue how long this thing has been sitting, and its 30+ years old ... i want to just replace stuff instead of fixing it. i have no service records so i may as well start my own. so i am thinking about taking the master and slave cylinders off the 80 and putting on my 77 and getting/making new lines.

after it runs and drives im gonna get it legal and plated, drive it around, get all the kinks worked out, and then the bag process will start.

there are many more plans but this is the most current objectives

any tips, advice, suggestions, etc?

Kyle

Brakes. Put a extra class fuel filter in the fuel line. Put SeaFoam in the gas tank. It helps some with old gas Put some Mystery Marvel Oil in the engine. After you change the oil and before you fire it up.
More but my brain is dead today.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

Yes and Yes. It will help noisy lifters and more. I used to use a Gulf Oil product called upper lube. It worked good too. You can run MMO down the carb at a high ldle, it will help bust up junk on the valves and piston tops, lube up stuck rings in the oil and through the carb... Stuck pistons, take the spark plugs out a put MMO in the cylinders, some feel a mix of diesel and MMO in the cylinders.

If you can not tell I like MMO. IT is not ATF.
