I know it will probably rain but I am going to be off on vacation and if nothing goes wrong I am going to go to the strip on August the 8th. I have several cruise in events planned between now and then and have been driving it to town ( a 35 mile trip ) on several ocassion. I am driving it to the strip and hopefully back home. I hope my hood is here by then (I would like to make a pass or 2 before people see its a big block) and this will give me enough time to wrap up a few loose ends and do a little cometic work. I have the dash figured out and the pad is ready to cover. The front is going to get the speedometer for now,but the front is a 10" aluminum plate and getting a dash in will make the truck look more complete.
After the strip I am planning on a gear change. I have a 3.50 and a 3.70 and another chunk so I will probably set the 3.50 up and put some miles on it.

Man that sounds good. Hey. I have an idea, why don't you test the reliability of that truck and drive to Texas and we could take it out to the strip and throw some beers back afterwards down at the shop. Of course I know this would never happen, but I had to write something down! LOL!
