I went to the Irwindale Speedway tonight with a friend of mine to run his Mustang and I met a guy named Howard who owns a Blue V8 Chevy LUV. Howard says he's seen a white LUV there on occasion as well. I may have to take my truck out there one of these days. Previously I wasn't going to bother because of the 1/8th mile track length.

I told him to send me some pictures of his ride and to stop by here and give everyone a "yo".

I snapped a few pictures of his truck that I'll post shortly. The most noticeable feature of his truck is a clean tub job with a 9" and 4-link setup. Another interesting feature was that he is NOT running the Hooker headers. I don't know what they are off of but they fit pretty good.

I also just found out that the race was televised! Personally I think that's a bad thing because the facility was already crowded. Now that it's been on TV I imagine there will be a lot MORE people.

If you look closer at the pics you will see he has a small cowl scoop on the truck.

From what I could see on my quick once-over, the truck has been back-halved with a 4-link and a 9".
