I would try to talk him down, I would be leary seeing it has been 3 different colors which means the rockers might not be in the shape you think they are in, esp if they have been sitting on the ground for a while.

Check them out good, my dad has a black luv that HAD a pretty good new paint job on it, the truck looked pretty nice before it got hit (about 10 years ago), I was looking at it a while back and noticed a spot on the rocker panel. Well started poking at it and ended up pulling out about a 3X4 bondoed hole that was stuffed with newspaper. Bad paint jobs usually hide even worse bodywork. It amazes me they were to lazy to take the emlbems, mirrors and wipers off to paint it or at least taped the key locks and antanea. :esurprised

Yeah there are some nice little parts on it that i wouldn't need, and im sure i could find someone that does. I work at a body shop and ive seen a few paint jobs that hid alot of cobblework spray foam, newspaper, etc. It all depends on seeing it in person.

I have been looking for a set of mirrows like the ones on your truck for my 1980 Mikado.
If they are in good shape and you want to sell them let me know what you want for them.
Thanks
