Well I got the Luv almost ready for the street/strip. I just need to bolt on the plates and order some NHRA safety equiptment. It has brake lights, head lights, turn signals, mufflers, and horn, which is about all we need in Minnesota for a collector car.

I desparately need something to fill in the front end on this thing. So if someone has a old style front valance or front air dam for sale please PM me.

Anyways here's the stats:
454 out of my boat
Tunnel ram with dual 600s 2-1/8" Hooker headers
TH-350 with a Hipster's reverse valve body and Trans Brake
9" Ford with spool and 3.70 gears
4 wheel discs off 73 Cutlass up front and stock Ford 9" Rear Disc
28"x14.5 rears and 24X5 front tires
Round tube chassis
Mustang II front end with 4 link in the rear.

Furture plans are 540 fuel injected BBC 12.5:1 running on E85 which is availible everywhere in central MN. This will allow me to put the windshield cowl and hood back on.

Ugly front end please help

Sweet Ride Mate, that front end aint ugly all you need is a fiberglass version of the factory bar. Theres a link on the site here somewhere, the same company that makes the race cowls. Luv them stacks, lookin forward to seeing some night pixs of them with flames belching out.

Did you do the firewall and aluminum interior in your truck? I would like to compare it to mine. I redid my interior a year ago.

Ya, I did the tin work. Nothing too fancy, but it's functional and light weight. It took two 4X8 sheets of 18 gauge (.040" thick) @ $55 each to do it. Some simple hand tools from Home Depot and a bead roller. I used two old stop signs (.90" thick Alm) under the drivers and passagers feet...............and LOTS of card board to make multiple patterns.

PM me with an E-mail address and I can send you some more pictures.

PM sent. The interior looks pretty damn nice. I bought a cheapo bead roller from Harbor Freight and got a 4' break from a friend of mine. I was a lot of work but was fun doing it.

Thanks for the replies. I did order a fiberglass front bumper from Unlimited.....at 3 lbs it shouldn't slow it down too much.

What do they get for a fiberglass bumper? Do they have a website? When you get it you will have to post pictures.

They get $129.99 for one but there's about $70 shipping and handling (UPS)....seemed high but I wasn't driving to CA just to save $70. The problem is despite the weight the oversized box gets charged for a minumm weight of 70lbs per UPS standards. They didn't have one in stock so there was a 3 week lead time. I'll keep you guys posted once I get it.

Here's their web site.

I have been on that website before. Thinking about getting a fiberglass hood from them.

WildLuv - I used to be involved pretty heavily with the AMC crowd, if I recall correctly the AMX folks were very unhappy with hoods from these guys. You might want to go trowl some of those forums to double check...

This was nearly 10 years ago, and things change. Look at Harley-Davidson, right? Not trying to knock any particular business, but please check around before you spend the money...
