Unlimited is'nt very far from me and Ben. About 20minutes or so. I agree, their quality is so so, but not total crap.I've never liked those L88 hoods. I'd get the flat hood, and have them install a 2.5 or 3.5" cowl "scoop" to it. they have a number to choose from.

they are making cowl hoods for them now.
as soon as I found out about a year ago I purchased one.
I was pleased with the design of the hood.
it is a 3 or 3 1/2" rise.
they also make a 6" rise.
so you dont have to get a flat hood and add to it anymore.
whoohoo!
yeah I agree about the L88 compared to the cowl induction......ugh.....kak! puke....hehe

I bought one of the L-88 hoods several years ago and I would classify it as junk.I emailed them and they say that they now use a different process but I am not going to waste more money to see.RATNLUV

Got a reply from Autofab:

Yes I do sell a front fender and hood with a scoop (small) for bigger
tires in the front , the fenders have a small flare and a larger wheel
opening. I also sell V6 and V8 kits for these trucks. I dont advertise
this anymore as sales dropped off years ago. John.

Sounds like those fenders are a pre-runner style for the 4x4s. Try to get a picture of em for all to see.

Yea, see if you can get pics!! My V-6 kit I got from them in the early 90's. I thought they were long gone as I have not heard anything about them for a long time!! Good to know as I will probably order their V-8 mounts when I get the ambition and cash to redo my LUV.

Does anyone still make the rear stepside fiberglass fenders or does anyone have a good used set? Looks like a set of mid 70' full size are close has anybody compared them? Also what is the web sigt for Autofab?

John from Autofab sent me some pictures of the fenders today:

From what I understand he still sells them. I would say that interested parties should give him a call. He can also be reached at john@autofab.com but the email method takes a little longer.

I was looking through the jc whitney catalog and saw some rear fenders for a sidestep luv. It was actually in a section for trucks with the four tires on the back so I don't know If they are wider then the stock ones. I guess you can call them and find out. Post any info they give you. Russ
