Hello fellow luv owners,
I found this site late last week, and it is great! I have two LUV's that are ruff but fun projects. After reading this forum I got the urge to get one of them going. I dropped a battery in My Toy powered 76 saterday and took it for a drive. It was very good to take it out again.
My other LUV needs alot more work and I hope to finish it someday, But the funds do not allow it right now. It is a 1980 4WD, with Dana 44 front and rear ends and Jeep waggoneer front leaf springs set up SOA. I have a 350 Chevy on the engine stand that will some day find it's way into the engine compartment with a Turbo350/NP205 combo.
I just thought I would ring in and say hi, I will be around and talk to you later, Thanks for the motivation!
Johnny

Welcome!! Always glad to see more LUV owners! Keep us posted on the progress. Just one question (2 actually) how did you end up with a Toyota powered LUV??? And also wondering whats up with the w's when you type hello?? Not trying to be a jerk or anything, just curious! Later

I've been hearing that a lot lately. I'm getting the feeling that this site may be responsible for a LUV comeback! That's a good thing. :)

To answer your questions, I bought the luv with a bad engine and I had a 22R that was in a Celica that I could not get a title on. so I put them together. Weld up a couple of mounts, Make a trip to the driveshaft shop,
and there you have it.........a toy-luv :D As for the W's, I should have paid more attention in school.

Just as long as you use LUV and not Chevrolet because then it would be a Toyolet. If you cant figure that one out, say it really fast!!
