I am looking into getting a weber for my luv g180, i hate the hitachi since it seems to be crapping out on me more and more every day and being my daily driver i dont wanna have alot of down time, now i have an extra intake manifold and either way i go im going to have the intake match ported to whatever carb i decide to go with. My quandry is between the weber 32/36 thats so popular and mabye a small 4bbl holley carb; i know that with a 4bbl ill be getting alot of extra gas especially if i mash it to the floor, but i only plan to do that once i get up in the rpm's if i go that route using the secondaries just for the top end performance, not to mention the cam i plan on getting redone (i got an extra one of them too) and in my experience with weber i have ahd alot of headaches first getting the wrong one and noew it not even woking right... So can any one help me on how you rate the fuel delivery of a carburetor, i know its in the jets, i just dont know if there is some magic formula between the jet size vs bore to figure out cfm or what i just wanna know what the minimum and maximum is for a mostly stock g180. So anyone out there that really knows their carbs that can help me would be great...

Thanks,
-Dustin

Might want to check with Aaron (memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2244) on his Pinto (Holley 5200) carb. He's got it on CL for $25, not sure if he's listed in the classifieds here?

whats the point of puttin a 4bbl on an 1800cc engine?

i dont see your logic in it. just buy a motorcraft weber wanna be for 70bux, get the adapter for 30bux and be done with it.

i just dont get why everyone is so dead set on puttin huge carbs on these damn motors. they dont need lots of carb!! ever wonder why the stock hitachi is so small? theres a reason! because it was engineered that way!

cmon!

i guess common sense isnt that common anymore.
