I just picked up a copy of Minitruckin magazine.
Every truck in the magazine is dropt! We used to call them sleds.
I live in CT and our roads are far from good.
I don't think you could drive one of those trucks a mile around here without doing damage!
I got a small block Chevy in mine and the headers are too low and cause me problems at times!
In California is every truck dropped? You couldn't get away with that in any other state.
Just saying.

I'm old school myself and not a big fan of baggin' but appreciate the engineering that goes into it.

I stopped reading Truckin' magazine in the early 90's because I had seen one too many Nissan pickups with a crushed velvet interior.

Is air ride normally that 'jerky'? I was thining it would go up and down much smoother than what's in the video.

It can be smooth. Air ride on the big rigs goes up and down very smooth. I think the people that put it on cars and trucks want it to be bouncy, much like hydraulics.

It depends on what size lines and valves you use.

exactly.
my buddy had a nissan with some huge 5/8" air valves on it and had the tank at high pressure so it would damn near jump in the rear end. then he sold that one and got another little nissan but a very different setup with different bags and smaller valves and it was really smooth... ride quality was great too polar opposite of the other setup..
really depends on how much you do your homework to design your system :egeek
