My chevy luv wont stay running. Ran fine till yhe other day and then the gen light came on and when i pushed the clutch in the truck died. but if i have the clutch in and throttle it she stays running. i tested the alternator and shes working just fine. im thinking that it is the voltage regulator but if you know something else to check i would like the help. thanks

Take all your fuses out and do a little sand papering on all the contacts and fuses. You could even remove the fuse block and clean up the connections on the bottom of it.
This is a very common problem with these old trucks.
I don't know for sure that's what's wrong with yours, but it's a typical trouble spot to start out at. Good luck.
