Well this sucks. So i got my luv going a few months back and i've been having a few problems with it. It took a little while to get it tuned but then it started running good. Then i decided to put some new magnum roller tip rockers on there and when i checked my push rods i found a few bent ones. So i fixed that. Then i get the rockers set right again something else starts rattling and i dont know were its coming from so i take my oil pan off and find that my rods are moving on the crank a little. Not much but enough to know its not right. So now i'm in the predicamint were i'm gonna have take my motor out again for 1 billianth time with only 20 freaking miles on my motor. Somebody save me. Sorry for the long rant but its nice to be able to get on here type off my steem. I think i'm gonna go cry now

Is the rod movement from front to back? Some is ok. Up and down or side to side is bad...

Yep...very bad! A little front to back is tolerable, but not very much.

Sorry to hear about your troubles brother...but we've all been there.

So far I'm on my second engine in my current truck, and it's been running strong - thank goodness.

But I definitely feel your pain...it really sucks to have to pull an engine and tear it down....especially one you just got in and running.

I haven't checked them all yet but theres a little bit of both (front to back and side to side) on the one i did check. I'm trying to talk myself into just getting a 383 kit. . Baybe not though.

Well i guess you could say i got allot done today. I've never taken the motor out threw the engine bay before because i had the cab disconected the last few times i did and all i had to do then was lift the cab up and slide the motor rite in. Well needless to say i got the motor and tranny out today so thats good. I also took my motor completly apart down to the block so now i just have to take all my crap to the machine shop on monday. Maybe they will tell me my crank is crap and i'll have to go with the 383. :D

Well i guess i should eat my words. I got my wish. The machine shop told me my crank couldn't be miked again so i guess i'm going with the 383. :D No sense in buying a 350 crank for the same price right. I'll try to put the motor together right this time. Wish me luck.
