Finally got to make it to the strip and guess what happened? If you live in Texas you know. This weather has been unbelivable. Only got two passes in, my best was 1.73 60' and 7.59 et not bad for only third pass to make this year. Kind of frustrating when you have to drive 75 miles just a make a pass. Have got to get some slicks, just really cant make it hook on street tires. My 60' foot sucks but it charges hard on the big end.
Really cant complain for a truck that I can drive anywhere.....just frustrated with it.

Thanks mytmouz just really frustrated the truck has gone a 7.40 flat several times on the motor just cant seem to get it back there. It has run 7.00 on the bottle (it was running 7.60's on the motor that day) It just seems to easy to go backwards and really hard to go faster. Been dirt track racing for 10 years and drag racing for 2. I think drag racing is tougher!!

Holy crap!! Was that storm in Abilene as bad as it looked on radar? Looked like Cisco and Eastland got pumeled.

Speaking of races: If you head up there next Friday, holler. Wife is leaving on a "chic's only" cruise.

And I spotted another Brownwood LUV, looked like a 78/79, black'ish w/ multi shade blue stripe job on the sides. Saw it twice at the corner of 4th and ave I.

My Dad was a bigtime drag racer when I was a kid. I know very little about the subtleties of tuning for a race, but have you considered you're running this year in a climate we have not seen here since 1994 or so?

The last several years have been hot and dry as a bone, could your time decrease be from the rainforest like humidity lately?

Not sure about Friday may have to go out of town but maybe. I have got to change some stuff up on the truck and go back to the basics. Get it on the scales to check the rear % and total weight.

The track only got brushed but the storm was quite a sight(wish I would have had a camera) They postponed the race before the storm got there because of all the lighting. It looked like it was comig right at the track I got loaded and headed out before it got there. Didint get a drop on me on the way home.

I think I may have pissed off the rain gods dont know how bad the storm was early this morniing but the lighting must have been parked over my roof!
