Does anybody know why the spare on a 4X4 is not mounted under the bed like the 2X4?

Ca emissions Ron. Federal or 49 state 4X4 trucks had no cat. California did, so Isuzu put the cat's where the mufflers were and added the muffler where the spare tire would have been on the Ca models. The exhaust actually exited on the left side on the series 9 and 10 Ca emissions 4X4.

Oh ok. My exhaust has already been modified to dump right after the axle. So I was looking under there and wondering what the deal was.
