I was just curious. I know i got the same set up a lot you V8 guys got but i was wondering what my ET should be around in the 1/4 mile. Haven't been around my truck lately so i can't just go take to the track just yet. I got 76' luv with 350 bored 40 over, Vortec heads, Mild cam, edelbrock intake, demon 650, Full hooker exhaust, and a manual 4-speed tranny. i think my s-10 rear end has 3:73 gears in it too. Thanks.

This answer is not easy to answer. How does your truck hoof up? What kind of tires? How wide? Diameter? What trans? what is your first gear ratio? Do you have experance drag racing. Do you have a posi unit? Tru trac locker? If I was to guess with the info you have given I would guess 14's.

The tires are 275/50/15 BFG's. Traction bars, I dont know much about the tranny except that its a saginaw and first gear is good for about 20 feet. Have'nt got the posi yet but when i get back im putting a 9" in with a posi. Oh yeah, full MSD too.

With a one wheel wonder,I would guess 14.70-14.90 depending on how hard it runs, you really need a locker of some sort, and something more sticky than bfg's

I agree with Mad Dog, high 14's to low 15's

i would go for a low 15. if you can slam those gears quick without ever touching the clutch maybe a 14.80. also depends on where your at. from tx to colorado is over 1 second difference just from alt.

my dad said in high school they used to grind every other tooth of the sencronizers so they could slam the gears easier when street racing. but that was over 35 years ago when aftermarket parts wasnt available everyhwere, so they did what they had to lol

I used to own a 80 Camaro ( hence the name hotrod 80 ) that had a 355 with vortec heads , comp268 cam , 3.73 posi , th-350 2200 stall and weighed in at 3800 pounds . It made 325 rwhp. On drag radials it would consistantly run a 13.20 . With the 9 inch and sticky tires , if it's tuned and you can shift it , i would venture 12.50's could be achieved . As is , if it will hook and not break the rear end 13.40's . Peddling on street tires 14.75 . Just my opinion .

14's or 15's 8O . Looks like im gonna have to get some slicks then. Well i figured i wouldn't be able to do too much with the S10 rear end in there with one wheel wonder but i guess we'll have to see when i get the 9" in there. I was just bored and missing the old truck and wondering how fast i was gonna go when i get back. Also, what kind of gears do guys think i should run? The truck is mainly gonna be for street but i do plan on taking to the strip every know and then. I don't wnat to be turning 4K doing 60 down the highway.

I would run 370's It would be a good compromise for both street and track, but don't expect much more than low 14's to high 13's with it

I ran 12.40's with a 3.50 posi and drag radials in mine . I have 4.10's now and wish I could run 11's without a 4.10 gear .
