What is the basic thing I would need to do to a LUV to get it going on the freeway without burning up the engine?

a luv with a good stock motor shold do fine on the freeway. I had a taller set of tires off my garbage trailer and it would run 75-80 easy. of course it was wide open, but i dont think that made much of a diff.

if you have a low gear you can change the gearing to go better on the freeway.
when I had the 4:56 in mine it was wide open on the freeway like 55 or 60.
changed the center section to 3:73 and whoohoo down the road we went!
