Hey dUBBa,
2 things:

1) Get the paint code, quick, and write it down somewhere... :)

2) Try rubbing the truck down with Penetrol - I know, sounds wacky. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it. It soaks into the paint and puts back some of the oils that have oxidized out. Afterwards, a light polishing and a few coats of carnauba will really bring the color back out. (Did this to a 1984 MR2 that had faded to pink, and it really made the red pop back out.) It'll be really sticky and hard to rub out. Wipe it on with a rag, then as it dries rub it off with cheesecloth or something similar.

now.. im really curious.

is my truck really a 79?

i was looking under the hood, the hood is an 1980 diagram.

i know those can be changed easily, but that 76 looks extremely comparable to mine.

is it because luvs were made so identical or what.

even the side edge or w/e on the trucks look the same. the one that goes from the bed to the door.

alsdkjfalskdjf

im so confused.

its unbelievable you totally change the condition of the truck. Now its looking 100 times better then its looking in past. How much it costs to change the condition of the truck. I can guess you have invested a lot of time and money to rebuild the truck. Thanks for sharing you really make the truck truck rocking.

I've still got it! It's broke down on me several times now though, neglect is not a good thing when it comes to these beautiful machines. lol

I like the little spoiler under the front bumper. Is that from an S:10? It looks much like what my '82 S:10 had way back when.

Funny you should mention the S-10 spoiler Ron,that is exactly what I used on my 81 Celica.
Cut about 2 inches off the top of it and screwed it on.Wraps around perfectly.

and I feel like it probably is. I've been asked that several times, and I have no idea what it's from, always thought it was part of the truck. It looks simliar to what my buddy's got, and he's got an 82 s10 as well.

Headed out to do a quick and dirty spray paint job on the rest of the interior. I started 6 years ago, painted one door, and the back of the cab. Pictures when I'm done!
