I'm about to start a frame up rstoration on a 1980 Luv. I need you guys to offer advice to any or all of the following questions....
1. Is there any hard to find parts that I should start looking for now that you know I'll need?
2. Is there any tricky area in the process I need to be careful of?
3. Anything about removing wiring I need to know or be carefull of?
4. Any particular step I should follow?
5. Did any of you run into unforeseen expense?
ANY and ALL advice on ANYTHING will be appreciated!!
I don't intend to race this truck but I want a few extra ponies so here is what I have planned:
Bored .40 block with new pistons, double Roller timing chain, mild re-ground or crow cam, Lynx manifold with dual Dellorto carbs, (for the Nostalgic look) MSD ignition, maybe electric fan, etc..
I want my engine to look just like this!!

i dunno how your buggy is gunna look like that when your done with it

Im using zip-lock bags and a magic marker to label bolts and small parts... digital camara to take lots of pics and things to remember (and too forget)

If you ask me... just about every part is hard to find anymore... lol
Label the wiring with masking tape and write on the tape what it goes to

Take your time, have fun thats about all I can tell ya.
