I have been thinking about colors a whole lot lately, the problem is I don't really have a good imagination for what colors look good together, so I decided to copy off of John Deere.

What do you think about this prototype? I painted my baby blue LUV John Deere Green in MSPAINT so I could get an idea for what it would look like in the end.

I plan on attempting that $50 paint job that I read about at this site. I am already doing some body work, so it will need to be painted eventually...

I vote bad for one reason.
I don't like to change car colors when painting because the door jambs ,and under the hood , between the cab and bed, etc. all need to be painted also for it to look right.
If your trying that $50 paint job, I would stick as close as possible to the original color.
If your doing practically a frame off resto on it... pick any color you want and paint it all., inside and out. 8)

Actually, it doesn't look all that bad. Maybe JD would pay you for the advertising.

If you like bright green and yellow, I say go for it.

At least it will be something original for a change, it will real easy to find in a large parking lot, and it will get noticed.

Just be aware that the local cops will notice it too, so you'll have to keep it in stealth mode and avoid getting their attention.

Wild unique paint jobs don't work out too well for anybody with a lead foot...lol

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw the other day...

Tractors are green, Trucks are red

It would stand out, thats for sure... then all you would need is some tractor tires... muahahahahaha

alright, I guess I have deicded not to do it.

it was a cool idea, but I'm afraid that it would be one of thoes things that are cool for like... a week, maybe a month. Then it just kind of starts to get old, and not really matter a whole lot anymore.

I think I'll do what rondog suggests and try to match the stock blue. I never had any complaints like that. Thats the color the LUV is meant to be.

Next week is spring break for me! Which means hardcore Paint LUVFest!

I just picked up a Rustoleum color chart. Over 100 colors! Theyve got two greens that are sweet. Key lime and sour apple. If that dont work there are almost 20 blues.
