 Post subject: brake lights

i noticed last night that my brake lights arent working. its not the bulbs cause my running lights still work. and its conected in the back. is there some sort of relay or something that could be cause this probalem. n e help would be greatly appreciated. matt

.check your brake light switch. should be down on the pedal. has 2 wires that plug into it make suer they are conected.

i had to change the clutch pedal in mine once, dang thing broke right at the top, must have been sidesteping it to much :twisted: :lol:. anyway when i put the whole thing back together i had switched those two wires around. needless to say i didnt relize i didnt have brake lights until about 3 months later :o damn lucky i didnt get hit

Dont meen to make you feel stupid, but did you check the fuse? I had the same thing happen to my past luv and it was just the fuse.

The bulbs can also burn half out, tail lights still work but brake lights filament in the bulb is dead. Seems unlikely that both would go out at the same time though. If it is not the bulbs then it is either a fuse, the switch, or a wiring problem.
