I got my 4x4 luv today, the link above is for the pics, it took about 4 bucks to get the majority of the mud off of it, I still need to scrub it down, I had just enuf time to get it washed and back home before I had to head to work, I need to power wash the engine and inside the hood. it runs really good, the only question so far is, I think the carb needs adjusting, because when I give it the gas it wants to bog a little. and I know I need to cover the distributor and carb, when I wash it, any thing else i need to do?

Inspect the cap, rotor, plugs right off. All the carb adjustments in the world cant fix a worn ignition system. Blasting the intake gaskets and fittings with carb cleaner to find any air leaks is also a good idea. Check all the fluid levels too (differentials, gearcase and trans).

Vintage or not, That kind of Analyzer is pretty accurate. Setting dwell (point gap) with an analyzer can get the motor fine tuned. Plus the points will last longer when they're accurately set. Carb tuning is a breeze.
