Some friends and I were out riding the backroads yesterday and ran across several Luvs in various configurations. Found one under construction with a roll cage, another place had a modified 2 wheel drive and a long wheel base stocker, another homesite had a 2 wheel and a 4 wheel drive stocker. And Lordy, at the S 10's. Funny thing though, all the Luvs were located at housetrailers.

Hmmm, that's what I lived in when I got mine!
Man I wish I could find some around here, but there is pretty much nothing left in this part of the country! I was very shocked though last week I seen a very nice stock 73 or 74 LUV going down the road. THat is the first one I had seen in around a year. 8O

Man I know of 9 or 11 can’t remember now… step sides in Salem and about another 15 or so regular bed trucks and that’s not counting the wrecking yards. And this is in a town of about 140,000 and there are a lot more these are the ones I remember

I live less than 10 miles from the Gulf of Mexico . Salt water is hard on cars . They rust from the top down here vs the bottom up from road salt . i don't believe these trucks are galvanized. All the ones here are hotrods , never seen a daily driver here.

Use to see 'em running around my way back in the mid 80's. Now I know of only 3 in my area. One is a driver, one has a BBC show truck and one is sitting in a barn.

the 2nd one you posted is a nice truck. not sure what he's talking about with a 6.0 ltr small block lol. and i never heard of a 735 holley. why put steel rockers on 2.02 heads with screw in studs. subframed??? i guess he means its been backhalved. that msd 6al box on the fender is far from being programmable. i would like to see what kind of straight axle with disc brake setup it has on the front. you can tell somebody put time and effort in it,but this guy is waisting his ad by not knowing what the hell he's selling.

the 3rd one runnin mid 12's is way to expensive, a budget built small block with flat tops will run that if its put together right.

6.0 engine= 377cid, 400w/350 crank. I think that is what it is.

735 Holley was/is used allot in Fords as a stock replacement carb.

Take a 650 and install a 750 throttle plate ta da you get 735 and they are very responsive. Hell Ford figured it out and they work.
