I saw tj white's truck pics on another thread. The rear shot of his truck reminded me of mine. I'm going to try and post my pics. i don't know how to shrink them so they are rather large. I apologize in advance.

Sorry about the clutter in the engine compartment. This is my newest bullet and I was waiting to see how it held up before I made it pretty.

Nice Truck Man, I really Like It. My I Ask Whom Is The Memorial For on The Tail Gate? I Know The Name Reads Paul Frith. Just Asking If He Was A Friend, Family..etc etc...Not Really None of My Business I Guess But You Obviously Want To Remember Him So I Figured I Would Ask.

Paul was the local race guru. He had a knack for making anything he tuned quicker. He usually got a couple tenths out of someones car at the track just driving the car. He crashed his Monza at our local track, which is how he passed on. He was doing about 160+ near the eighth mile mark and hit a patch of oil left by the previous car down the track. I bought what was left of the car and run a lot of parts on my truck. I run the memorial on back and it never fails that I get a lot of conversations about him from people at the track. It's my way of making sure he's still at the track. Thanks for asking.

Nice truck as for the clutter maybe i should post the currant wiring under my dash so you don't feel bad.It is about the same as your as i was in a hurry to make it run to give a good friend of mine a ride in it before he died of cancer but alas i didn't get done in time. Now i hope to redo the truck this winter.

Yeah, I plan to work on mine as well. I'm done for the year. I tried a couple of passes friday night and it was just too hard to hook up. The temp was about 20 degrees cooler today and a friend of mine totaled his recently purchased tube chassis chevy II.

So, I buy, sell and trade race parts. I had a nice aluminum catch can come in Friday, so I'm gonna start on the under hood redo. I recieved a gift card from my job, they said so we could buy a turkey for Thanksgiving. I used mine for paint, tape, wire looms and such  . I'm gonna try and work on it during the hoilday week as I'll actually have 4 whole days off 8O. If it turns out OK, I'll try to post some pics. This is something I wouldn't normally do, but since I posted pics , I guess I'll have to.

tj, it's mild steel. It was certified to 7.99 til the rules change in NHRA dropped the mild steel to 8.5. I run grudge racing and track test n tune street race nights so I don't worry about the certification anyway. If I keep stepping up I'll build a new chassis as this one is still streetable. All I need to add are tires, mufflers, horn, and the wipers. The wipers work, but I took the arms off as at around 140 MPH they rise up.

As far as missing out on the turkey, I won't miss any meals. Fried turkey is a popular item locally and I make a mean one. Word of mouth keeps me busy with them, I've got 11 to do this year. I usually don't eat them any more as I'm sick of looking at them. I'm going to Red Lobster this year for Thanksgiving. 8O

Yeah i know about the wipers lifting as i tuck mine under the windshield rubber but at about 120-130 there they go. When i set the truck up to race i to will remove them. But thats going to be awhile as the jeep will get done first and i need to come up with the money to buy the moly. tubing to build my cage (i like light weight )but i am also gathering other parts for my rebuild.I have a converter for the trans but i think it is going to be to high of stall in my application. 5400 in the blower car and i think with my torq it's going to be the same, think i will need a 3600-4000 as i am going to use a t-350 in the truck. I know everybody uses glides but i want the 3spdas i will only be turning in the 6000-6200 rpm range and i know how to build t-350's to live.

Hotro80, the 8.86 pass was with a 225 shot on a plate system. My 1/4 mile track nearby closed, so I don't know how fast it is now. I'm 6 tenths quicker now in the eighth than I was back then on motor at the junk track I have to run now. The new bullet still has the 225 plate system. I also added a 250 shot fogger system. I'm still sorting the new combo, so I haven't sprayed it yet.

tj, moly is good, wish I had some. I'll agree that the buford will probably like the lower stall speed as they are torque monsters. I'm running a glide with a turbo converter, mostly cause that's what I had. A built 350 is a good tranny though, I like the lower first gear to help get you moving.

I would run the glide trans if i had one but i have three t-350s so i will stick with them. And as i am running 4.11 gears the 2.52 first gear will help a bunch.

I have managed so far to remove a lot of unnecessary wiring and unused stock brackets, paint the firewall and inner fenders with chassis black, and detail the master cylinder and other small items. Now it's on to remounting the regulators and rerouting some of the braided lines, then I'll tackle rerouting the electrical and sleeving the wiring. PHEWW!

Her is a pictoral update.

I swapped the one on the left out for the one on the right.

This is what I had left over after removal of all the unneccessary junk.

I've got all the hose rerouted as best I can, next up, the wire sleeving and looms! :D

lol Always Busy Doing Something Right? Since This Tread Is Dedicated To Your Truck, and On Another You Said You Had A After Market Grill, If I Remember Correctly. I Was Wondering How It Looked.

Nice Catch Can, Looks Like You Removed A Rats Nest From Your Engine Bay.

Can't Wait To See The New and Improved Neat Engine Bay.
