im sure i will get laughed at for this but my 76 luv is an auto i was just wondering how hard it would be to change for a manuel and if it would be worth it in mpg and such?

I've not looked at an auto truck close enough to to know what would have to be changed.
The best mileage I ever got was 23mpg. Right now my 80 with a fresh rebuild is only getting about 19mpg. What is your mileage in your auto?

im pretty sure its only about 15 mpg or so right now. i was just wondering cause i could use a new transmission when i get the money and ive always heard sticks are better in just about everything so i was just curius.

It would be cheaper to change the rear gears for milage but would be slower taking off. It might be a good trade off though.
