So I'm driving home last night and my truck dies. I was less than a block away so I pushed it the rest of the way. I was just telling my wife when we started the ill fated trip, that I hadn't put gas in it for awhile and was amazed the mileage this was getting. After all I still had a 1/4 of a tank. Today I started poking around, checking fuses etc. I ended up checking the voltage going to the fuel pump, looked good. Thought maybe the lines or filter is clogged or something, while doing this I happened to tap the gas tank....nice hollow sound..doh! Grabbed a can, threw in some gas...voila! Then driving to the gas station found my blinkers weren't working seems I broke the end cap on that fuse during my examination.

Moral to the story:
1. Don't brag.
2. Don't assume your fuel level gauge works properly. (esp. in a vehicle you just got)
3. Round glass fuses suck.

Well the truck died again twice on my way to work. think i may have sucked some junk up when I ran the tank low.. :( It was acting like it was starved, and fired back up without difficultly, I'm hoping for something simple.

Yeah that's the first thing to get replaced. I noticed that the hoses are in need of replacement as well. I'm hoping once I take care of some of the stuff that needs to be replaced it'll be ok. I don't think much if anything has been done since new, so it's definitely time.
