I sold the big block out of the Model A (old ratnluv). It seems all I can do is sell the engine. I sold 2 big blocks out of the LUV and now that the frame is under the model A I sold the 3rd one.
I am going back with a stock 350 and trying to sell the whole car again. I think it will sell better .It seems everyone thought it was cool but it takes a select few to want a Model A with a 427 and blower.
I think it will drop the price down and put it in more peoples range and be more drivable with gas prices what they are.

Seems like in general for selling a rig, a big block is not an asset anymore. My dad just picked up an big old flatbed farm truck that has a running big block in it for less than the price of scrap on the motor alone, much less the whole truck.

Like you said, it takes a special person to want a big block, and a real special person to want one with a blower on top of it.

The small block looks good in the car but all I can say is gas wasn't $3.00 plus a gallon when I started . I don't know how many are old enough to remember but in the late 70's and early 80's you couldn't give big blocks away. Street rods started popping up with V6 engines and I have seen several model T and A's with 4 cly. engines.
My second problem has been with the state of TN. Originally they titled it as a 29 but never came and attached the V.I.N . plate . When I contacted them (mistake should have had a VIN plate made and put it on myself) they said the title was wrong and did not contain a valid serial #. After a long conversation I ended up sending the title back and in about 6 more weeks I got my new title and number plate.
It is now a 2005 and I can't get them to change it . And you guessed it It has to be emision tested. After 3 trips to the tag office I found out that they made a error and reassigned the antique tag to it when they redone the title. So it is a 2005 and has a tag for older than 25 years .What Idiots!
I walked out and left it alone because Antique tag vehicles are exempt and never have to be renewed .All I wanted was a tag so I could legally drive and drive is what I am going to do until they catch it but I don't think they will.
SEMA has the bill passed through TN. senate and it is now before the house than replica's will be titled as the year they most look like but say replica on the title. This has passed in 6 states so far and passed the senate here by 100% .It is also up in the state where my brother lives so if I have to I am going to title it there and then bring the title back here and it will say 29 as the year. But it should pass here and fix everything but until then I am driving it.

Now that it is back together with a small block I have put several hundred miles on it . It is easier to drive and still runs fair but I fell it went from a hot rod to a street rod.
I tried to sell it on ebay with no luck, but I feel the market is a little slow with the current economy. I am planning on a couple of cruise in events in the next few weeks and then the shades of the past in Pigeon Forge in September. It is a big show and I am planning on selling by then even if it means making someone a deal of a lifetime.
I just installed another lift in the garage and am working towards getting ready to possibly going back to work at home. Selling the car would pay some bills and put me in a better position to get out of my current job.
