well the races was a blast. truck didnt pick up anywhere but 60 ft really. best pass in 1/8 before was a 7.53 now its a 7.49. the 60 ft dropped from 1.9's to low 1.7's high 1.6's. my motor dont have enough to take a full 1/4 pass, at 6500 rpm it starts floatin the valves. either that or the dual point is floatin the points. did run an 11.98 bangin on the top end.

sat races it started bangin at the top of the1/8 mile. not sure what is the problem there. so i did shitty. put my budies 750 on it afteri lost and made some T/O's and felt good. today it ran great untill 2nd rnd and i cut a .500 perfect light and it banged before finish in 2nd gear again and i lost!!! bought back and made it to tie for 4th place.

everything in the rear felt good and stayed together lol. i also got a lot of compliments on how the truck looks compared to last year.

that and the perfect light made my weekend real great lol.

will put some pics tomorrow, and a few from the tracks site also when they post them.

Sounds like the valve springs, notice how it takes less time to float 'em.

Sounds like you had fun that is what it is all about. You did better than me first pass pedaled to check everything out ran 7.50's sitting in line broke the alternator bracket bolt and grounded the exciter wire on alt. and fryed wire through harness all the way to the solenoid.

Recovered by going to dirt track sat. took two cars and ran third in one car nineth in the other and took the new double stacker trailor and had no problems. :D

Hopefully the Peterbuilt will be ready next weekend and we wont have the pull a 13ft high and 32ft long trailor behind a dodge dually. Have to say the cummins is awesome.

I agree with mytmouz your valve springs are shot and they will get worse every time you run it and if you keep floating them you are going to drop a valve and thats gonna hurt.

the 1/8 mile poppin is different than the 1/4 mile problem. i think its running out of fuel sometimes in the 1/8th. im gonna get a fuel pressure gauge and another fuel pump before next race. the springs arent that old, and i know my cam is only good for 6500 or so. when it started bangin on 1/4 pass it was like a rev limiter kicked in, i had a 7000 chip in it.
