well unfortunatly I live in an apartment complex with more rules than anywhere in the state, but I will see what I can do I am pretty sure my buddy Will let you park your trucks at his house. he lives in a place where he has a little field and its safe I share his garage with him and I leave my truck at his house. I was planning on going over there today but got busy. I will talk to him tommorow if I get home from work at a resonable hour and talk to him. Im sure he will be cool about it. If not I will talk to another friend of mine that has a mechanic shop here with a big yard that is fenced in and has 2 pit bulls that will watch your stuff. The only draw back to that is I have to pretty much be there when you come and go. Let me do some checking around and I will see what I can come up with in the next few days. As far as what I recomend to all people looking for a motel, stay away from the down town area. I will tell you a story about the stardust. Back when I was in high school I worked for a pizza shop delivering pizzas. I went to the star dust on a delivery to a lady that ordered a pizza for her so called boyfriend. Later on that day about 5 hours later I had another delivery to the stardust. I knocked on the same door and the same lady opened the door and told me her "hunny" liked the pizza so much I had taken there earlier and wanted another one. Well it was the same lady with another guy and Im pretty sure she was conducting her business in that motel along with every other street walker in the down town area. I have never stayed in a motel in Redding but if I was I would find a place on Hilltop. Also there are 2 motels off of Twin view, I think one is a motel 6 and the other is a holliday inn express. Also there is a motel not too far from where I live that is a super 8 and its on Bonnieview or it might be considered Churn creek that looks pretty calm and its not located in the middle of all the Kool April nights parage area, so getting in and out would be easy and its right off the freeway and on the way to the dragstrip.

Try the Super 8 Motel. As far as location, it's right in the middle of everything. It's about the same distance to the drag strip, the circle track, and the cruise. The car show is A little bit farther, but not much. It's also right off I-5. Expedia.com , Travelnow.com , and Hotels.com show $57.60 - $68.00 A night. The address is 5175 Churn Creek Rd. Redding Ca. 96002 and the phone # is (530)221-8881. Hope this helps. I'm also looking for some campsites. I am hoping the fairgrounds in Anderson will let people camp there. It would be easy for RV's and tents. I will let you know.
Thanks bud!!

Dunno bout the strip, but its probably just me being freaky about my truck being stolen chavy, but still, I don't want to take any chances! It could be stolen from a crappy motel, just as well as being stolen from my driveway! Kinda, I keep it kinda barricaded

The dragstrip is next to the Airport on the south-east side of Redding.

I would think K-mart would be better personally. Its right off of I-5 and the center point for all the action, probably be a lot of hot rods running around up there on the cruise too

They close Hilltop at 6:30 on Friday night for the cruise. It's going to be pretty hard to get around. If everyone doesn't get together before the cruise, they could all meet at Gene's or Pop's. Thats usually A interesting place to be. There is still plenty of time to figure that stuff out.

Good point I forgot about the stupid parade. I steer clear of that too many cops that cant let people have a good time out there. The only one big fun thing that happens in redding once a year gets ruined because the cops dont have anything better to do.

They usually aren't that bad. I saw them let A guy off with A fiberglass body Camero with slicks and headlight stickers after he did A burn-out leaving Gene's. But I have also seen them impound A truck with no doors and A couple of kids doing the same thing.
