The muscles in the thighs are large and tight from racing. It's uncomfortable for most of them to sit. They will stand for long periods or just lay down. I've some sit no problem though.

congrats indeed ron!

ive wanted a greyhound for a long time, but i want to raise one myself.

this is my last co-pilot. His name was Casper. passed away while on a visit to grandpa. (he left the driveway gate open and he was struck by a truck...)

He would always jump into my truck and ride with me everywhere. THAT was an awesome dog.

no pets right now. the apartment that i live in doesn't allow them....we are thinking about getting a fish tank tho. well we do have a ceramic bunny right outside the front door i named Frank (Donnie darko anyone?)

this is our shop cat at work. dude showed up one day about a month ago and wont leave. and i think a few of us "rough welder and mechanic types" would be heartbroken to see him go.

I had to put down our Sheppard "Congo" on Dec.23. It was a tough week, she did have a great 15 years of life. I am now trying to rescue a Mastiff or St. Banard if I can find one.

Bummer. I'm sorry to hear that. I met Congo. He was a very cool dog.

Sorry for your loss. I know how you feel. We had to put down our baby Heidi about 2 months ago. She had been with us for a little over 14 years.

I can help you get a Greyhound. It's just a skinny Mastiff. :D Many to choose from right now too. Tracks are closing all over, and the dogs need a place to live.

Our new foster. Picked up 20 dogs from the track in Mexico Saturday. He is figuring out this retirement thing pretty fast. He's a 4 1/2 y.o. male that according to the charts I saw, was a pretty good racer. 106 races, 16 1sts and 14 2nds.

Sorry, I could have swore you said you picked up 20 dogs, but that must be wrong. Where would you put them?

:D I'll have to get pics of the trailer this guy I help has. It's a special 14 compartment dog trailer. The other 6 were in the Suburban with us.

I just put my old Lab down a couple weeks ago and man I still miss him constantly. That was hard but I also just Studded out my younger lab, OTTER, and just might take the pick of the litter instead of the money.. After all Otter will be 6 soon so by the time I get a dog trained at 2 years old Otter will be on his las full hunting season carrying the primary load of bird findin. Wish me luck guys.

RIP, BLACKJACK RUNNIN WILD....AKA Jack.

Well, today is the 7 year anniversary of my Mom's passing. And with tomorrow being Mothers Day, my wife though it would be nice to make it official and adopt Beestie Boy today. So he is ours now. He got a bath just before this pic today, because tomorrow I'm taking him to Centinella Feed in Long Beach for a "show n tell", so he can help get other Greyhounds adopted. And this is the dog trailer. Very soon I am going to bring it home and polish it up and change some decals on it. The # and name are not accurate anymore.
