I see you are get it done,a word of advise though is put a gusset on the inside corner as it will help with twist and strengthen it allot more.

well that turned out good awesome it makes me want to go do the work on my Jeep Frame.

About the gusseting issue well I am kind of wondering about totally gusseting the whole frame I would think you need a little bit of give in case you break some drivetrain????

Keep up the Progress your motivating me.

Those are 2'' Their is also a 2 degree shim on the top and bottom of the block in that photo. When I was playing on the setup to better my 60ft. The stance in your pics looks pretty close. You could change the spring perches and not use the block for the same effect. Probably be better than the blocks I have heard of the blocks breaking before. But I have had no problems with mine so far with about 150 passes in the low 7s. and several hundred miles on the street.

I run stock springs and slapper bars that work pretty well. Right now I run about 6 1/2 degrees of pinion angle and run a 1.65 to 1.70 sixty foot with a little slippage havnt got it just right yet.

Started with 4.11 went to 4.33 and now have a set of 4.56 and 4.88 to try. Cant wait for it to get warm. But this thing is gettin up there in RPMS at 70mph, so may be stuck.

Waayyyyyyyyy too much expense and work for me. Must be nice. Wished I could jusy pay someone to do mine. Guess I don't need it for a street truck though.
In your first pics what size tire was on it. They looked like they fir the wells like I want mine to. My 315's I bought I think are way too big to fit the stock wells.

been a while so here is more stuff.

axles should be in next week.

gotta get the lowering blocks and u-bolts yet.

Image

i wanna know what you guys think of this pic. the u-bolt is goin to be close to the weld here. im not sure what to do exactly yet.
im thinking it will be ok just get a bigger u-bolt and go with it.

Image

the right side is the same way.

Image

i need to notch the leaf perches to fit better.

im thinking i can build up the area where the arrow is with weld and grind it down smooth so the u-bolt has a better place to grip. lot more work but thats how it goes lol.
but im not sure if that would be as good as some sort of sleeve welded around it either.
no matter what that is where the rear is setting on the leafs fo rsure. i cant move that.

forgot to add measurements

frame rails inside are 24 1/4

housing end to end is 42 1/4

that should put me at 47 1/4 axle to axle which is 1 inch shorter than i figured, but isnt a problem.
