You're very good at that aluminum wheel polishing there, mytmouz. How about coming over and doing mine for me. They ALL need it. (And the tanks, steps, battery box, rear fenders, and headache rack too.)

OK, I haven't been able to work on the LUV due to working 12 to 16 hr shifts 7 nights a week since the first of the year. Managed to get back on it today. THIS pic is an example of why you check things on your ride, stock or modified.

This is a ladder bar adjuster, actually the second one I've bent. The bars are from Competition Engineering, cough, cough. I have a set of Art Morrison bars lying around, now they need adjusters. MUCH beefier by the way. :D

I have always said as a crew chief "races are won in the shop". To finish first you must first finish so checking out the car between races and a tear down inspection in the off season is a must.

Hope to post some pics of mine next weekend at the strip. Just wondering how the ladder bars are on the street? Probably my next project just want to know the problems Iam looking at

Hotrod, I might part with the Morrison bars, I've got pretty much everything except the adjusters  Don't know if I have the shock mounts. The bars and track locator are used, the crossmember and brackets are new. Now if I can just find it all...

So, I went to the track and made a test pass, 6.40'ish just checking everything out. LOT'S of racers tonight. Went to try the fogger, Track guy says I'm leaking tranny fluid and waived me off. Could find NO leak! 2 of us wiped everything underneath, NOTHING!. Went back, Same guy says leaking. First time, he found fluid on the track at least ten feet ahead of where I finished my burnout. I know it wasn't me. NO race, and of course, No refund.

I am at the local track all the time . If a guy waves me off for something dripping I roll back to an open area behind the burnout box and look it over . If I don't have fluid I go talk to them and have them look at it and then have them pull me back in . That cool it ran that fast . Sorry to hear about the mis understanding . Hope you didn't have to camp in the staging lanes to get turned away . I think some of those guys get nervous when a really fast truck or car comes up . If they have alot of cars they want to push you through like cattle . Our #1 street king spot is 5.40 and you sound like your all over that . Keep us posted on how things are going .

Great. So why don't you go stick it. J.K.
I've been thinking about going to the guy who used to do my big rig doors and see if he'll make some for us.

mytmouz.... what did you use for the tail gate latches? Those look better than the way the stock ones are made.

Scored this on ebay. Added it to the truck today. It's a Wilson nitrous plate with the blowout provision.

Sigh, worked on the truck over the weekend, trying to fix the pesky leak, dropped the pan and found a problem. Pulling the engine out now. At least it's easy to work on...
