Well got some good news dont know how i did it.I caught it in time....The only thing it did was shread 5-6 teeth off of the timing belt. The mechanic said that i noticed it in time so it did not cause any real damage....when it skipped the belt the valves were just barely hitting the pistons(that was causing the knock). So must likely the timing belt was very old and brittle and having no oil caused a little extra stress to skip it first before any real damage could occur due to no oil.It has great compression, checked the head for pressure leaks none found the valves are seating properly so definetely glad that timing belt was brittle or there would have been real damage.........  so will have it back in a few days

Hey all my truck will be done friday.went to the shop yesterday and looked over the head and block and everything is in great shape and has great compressiong from all cylinders...The timing belt was so loose the spring tensioner wasn't even touching the belt so the supposedly rebuilt it before i had it used the old timing belt.....and also found a crown to one of the one of the push rods in the top of the head so the guy that rebuilt did not know squat...but I went over everything and no leask and good compressiong the parts will be here today so will have it Friday when i get off work.
