if the dude that you're talking about is the one I think he is, don't trust him. As you said he's very rude, and was kicked out of another web site for Luv trucks, for foul language and basically starting problems. He started another web site for luv's and it's basically HIS web site, selling his inventory, and if you disagree with him, or make a mistake, he'll kick you out. He does a lot of posting on ebay. Just be aware!!!!

better steer clear of that guy...

Should I tell you who he is? Or have most of you figured it out already? I try not to hold a grudge, but, whew, this guy is unbelievable.

I got bored last night and fired up the three amigo LUVs last night. I'm hoping to get a clutch kit soon and swap in the impulse 5spd into the 77. I sure wish I had gotten enough time this summer to sand the rust off and put some primer over it, but I guess that will have to wait until next summer. The black 79 is leaking gear lube at both wheels, so it looks like it will be needing new seals before it does much driving. The motor still runs smooth once it gets warmed up though. All three were pretty stubborn to get started, but that 79 ran down a new Optima Yellow top battery before I got it to fire up. I really need to find a rebuild kit for the Weber, anyone got a good but cheap source on those?

I also got a call from my brother a couple days ago saying he spotted a matched pair of 79 LUVs for sale. One 4x4 and one 2WD, $400 each. The most interesting part to me was that he said he's thinking of buying a 4x4 to use as a hunting rig. He drove a 75 LUV for a few years, then a 76 before moving up to something larger. Sounds like he might be returning to a LUV before too long.

MEPR: Man, my 4x4 makes all other LUVs look good

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.
