Damn, that red LUV looks hot! Too bad you sold it.
The gage panel in the blue truck, is that wood? I want to rework my dash like that too with all new gages.

Yeah You've Got A Really Nice Truck Man, I've Seen It Before and Always Liked The Wood Myself. I Have Always Dig A Step Side, I Liked The Red One Aswell. Sucks You Had To Let It Go.

Very Nice Truck. Step side too.

I am thinking of building a 406 as my next engine for my Luv. I think their are several ways to make the 406. Using a 6" rod or the 5.7" rods. Which one did you have? Did you have different cams in it for the street and the roundy round car?

If a 383 is good a 406 must be better :o . I hope you still get a chance to see a race every now and then.

Have fun on the road.

Richard

thanks BlackLuv80 ya wish i still had it.
papag i've got 20 over bore a 400 steel crank and 350 pink rods there the 6 rods. also took out the solid race cam and put in hyd with around 560 lift if i remember right been awhile. one step down from the biggest cam that'll go in it. had to grind pistons, block so they cleared, also .080 deeper on eyebrow on pistons to clear valves. milled vale guides also to clear. lotta hit and missing lol

Boy I don't think I have heard anyone say "pink rods" in years.
Must be a old school thing. Makes me wonder what we might have said.

Not as far back as Real Hotrods

I am in South East Texas. not too far from Houston.
You motor homing , or 5th wheeling?

Have a safe trip.

Just kind of a lost way of engine talk. it is not NOS.. N.O.S. Nitros oxide!!!
Most of the words used are different, Or I have been away from Chebbies for too long... I have been hanging out with the VW boys too long.
