well i took the truck to the track again today and ran into some old friends. while i was chating with them several people came over and looked at my luv and walked away laughing.my wife pointed it out to me and i said thats ok they don`t have a clue.i unloaded the truck and ran it the first pass as a 13.01@110 i was second down the track so it was still green. as the day went on one of the guys that was laughing was running a very cherry falcon. on the bottle he ran a 15.00 the 2 s- 10 guys the faster of the 2 was running consistant 13.80s the other s-10 must have been having all kinds of problems tubbed and caged 15.50s. my last past before an impending oil leak forced me to give up the day was 12.40.it was getting quicker and quicker with each pass.i never did get to race any of them they were in a different class. i still didn`t get to do any tunning to the motor to try different timing and jets so there is more to be had i`m sure. i think i`ll start looking at gears to.my rear ratio is so high right now i don`t even have to shift into 3rd . i guess those guys aren`t laughing at my luv now later :twisted:

well it was a lot better this time the first past was pretty bad but after that it started coming in.the last 2 passes when it dropped into the mid 12s it started hooking toward the wall really bad. i think i need to take a little preload out of the traction bar on the driverside.i`m going to a swapmeet tomorow hopefully i can get some front drag shocks and maybe some gears. maybe with some tuning and some chassis changes i can get in the 11s. its still spins about 30or 40 feet my best 60 ft time was1.91 versus the 2.02 it was last time. i could use a bigger carb to that would probably help i`ve got a 650dp right now. i figure it could probably use an 850. i`m just gonna keep making little changes until i get it where i want. later terry :twisted:
