hey guys i have recently bought a 72 chevy luv and am going to be putting a toyota 2.2 22R motor in it with a 20R head this will be my second luv project i was wondering if anybody knew where i can find a stepside bed i have also heard that a newer s-10 stepside bed would work with minor mods if anyone know where i can get on of those it would be even better. i was gonna put a small block chevy in it but gas prices are so high here in washington almost $2 a gallon so im goning to do that later on down the road if anyone has any coments or advice i would gladly take it thanx

Put in a V8. Once the war is over, gas price's are going to drop again. :lol: Think of the excitment of all that power. :lol:

I agree with Rick. By the time you line up all of your parts, Fit the motor, get a driveshaft, tie in all of your systems, the Iraq stuff will have blown over and gas prices will stablize. And think about it, if you would have already converted the truck to a V-8, You would still have to deal with high gas prices anyway. I dont see anybody pulling out a V-8 motor and installing a stock one because the price of fuel was high. We all have had to adjust our driving habits to some extent when dealing with high prices, it just annoying that we can drive the way we designed our trucks to run. But if your determined to go with the Toyota motor then by all means get your truck on the road. If your not working on your truck or driving your truck, your truck is useless. It's just a shame that your going to end up doing 2 conversions back to back.
