Im confused being from down under and all.
Luv, Isuzu KB and Rodeo. I know whats what here but what is what over in the USA and other parts of the world.
I dont get the bit about the Luv being the the later KB and then it wasnt a luv any more. What was it called???
Heres what we got;
Luv body shape,
KB20 and KB 40 1977 was the last offered as Chev Luv. Then the Isuzu KB20 & 40 Isuzu were offered till 1980.
KB Rodeo body shape, called Rodeo;
1981 KB26 and KB41.
1983 KB27 & 28 and the KB41. Also the KB47 which was a dual cab.
1984 all KB28 and KB48 dual cab included.
1985 end of 28 series. The list i have doesnt state model code after 85. This is where the KB29 and 49 (i think it was 9) start with the 2.3L motor and std 5 speeds and ULP for ones built after july 1986.
TF Body shape, called Rodeo;
1988 July on TF rodeo.
*************************************************
In Australia we got no EFI 2.3L motors in any car, they were all carby. I saw one 2.3L carby in a TF im not sure that it was even an option here as it was in other parts of the world (the factory manual tells me you could even get a 4ZA1 1.6L if you were in Africa). It was most likely a motor fitted from an older model ute by some guy pulling a dodgy job.
Thats about all the stuff im interested in, cant afford anthing too new. lol. So no need to go on.
Im interested in looking up stuff on the TF model too if anyone knows of forums for that.
Cheers. Bob.
