Does anyone know where I can find a sun visor that goes over the windshield on the outside of the cab. I'm not sure if they are made of fiberglass or ABS?

Are you talking about one like mine (pic below)?? Pheew!! I got mine back in 84 and the were closing them out back then. Mine is steel and louvered, most of the steel ones were chrome and I had a hard time finding a bare metal one. I didn't like the look of the fiberglass ones and I bet they vibrate on the highway way worse than mine does!! One thing, I really regret putting it on mine now. When I redo my truck, it is definatly coming off, the only probem is, I had to put 4 pretty big holes in my roof! They will be fun to fill!! Good luck finding one, very few are probably still around and I doubt any still new. I have been looking for a flex-through (80's) rear window for mine since the mid 80's and have only found 1 back in the late 80's and the ahole wouldn't sell it to me. I should have just took it! LOL

Yes, I was referring to the one like yours. Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I will just scrap the idea. I always liked the look, but if it vibrates and you end up making large body piercings to the poor cab, then I will pass too.

Yea, on a windy day, it will move up and down in the middle about an inch. One time I had to stop on a road trip and take it off as I thought the wind was going to do it for me! I also forgot I had to put 6 holes in the truck!! 4 on the roof and 2 in the pillars and they are about 3/4 of an inch in diameter!

so i think it may be a s-10 one trimmed down

i have one on my truck, fiberglass, and its SOLID. id hate my truck without it. ive taken it off and would rather keep it on. When I finish my body work in the next couple of years, id like to glass it to the roof.

I will post pics of my rig soon, and be able to show all.
