i have a 1980 chevy luv i was wonderiung if i could get older doors on my truck the doors i want are the ones with like that little tringale window up in front i forgot what they are called. has anyone thought of that or did that. :lol:

I personally would never do that....but out of all my doors i do have ONE (and it's a drivers side) w that wing window...just in case you're interested :wink:

Most people Trade off their "winged" doors to get the "newer" style, but each to his own.

I have a set of doors, I believe from a 72. With wing windows, cranks, everything. They are in pretty good shape, for as old as they are.
If you were close, you could come get them for free, I just want them out of the yard.

I dig the hell out of my wing windows. I smoke and it's great to be able to flick my ashes out thru the vent (I'm left handed). I'd freak out if i had to try and replace either of my doors. Also, i like the fact that the vent windows can be swung to the point that they'll direct air in to the cab. That's a plus on hot days.
The vent windows make it easy to enter the truck without a key. I dont worry about it much because the stereo is a cassette player and the shifter is a stock relic that still works like normal.

i got 1980 doors comin... i think they look much cleaner, and dont have to worry bout the 80 style doors leakin wehre the vent glass was... plus mine never stay open if in goin past 30ish... but im keepin my 76 doors for back ups just incase something happens to the new doors that one needs replaced.
