I now have 235/75/15's on my truck and I was wonderin' if anyone just how much that will affect my speedometer? You know, so I don't get pulled over when I thought I was going the speed limit but was actually speeding. Thanks.

well, before I put these tires on I had 225/70r14's and I was able to figure I was off about 1 mph for every twelve one the speedo.

But that was because I had the misfortune to be clocked by a cop when I already knew I was speeding. my extra 3 mph I didn't know about was just icing on the cake.

I figured it out to be about 11-13% off I think. So add 1.2 miles for every 10MPH. 50 on the speedo means 56 or roughly a little more than 1mph off every 10 on the speedo.

If I can ever find one again, an 18 tooth speedo gear should just about cover the difference. My wife's 83 pup had an 18 tooth (well half of one, other half ground off). LUVs have a 20 tooth, FYI.

ive got 80 Luv 4x4 here sittin on 255-15s and have discovered anything less than 50 mph I am 5 mph fast on odometer, anything over 50 mph Im off by at least 10 mph, so 55 on my speedo im really doing 65.

I don't know what exactly to look in, but the 4spd and 5spd trannys used in pretty much all Isuzus up to 87 or so should have compatible speedo gears and it is just one bolt to pop them out. I've never tried switching them around, but seems like it should work.
