so my tranny went out " piece junk t350" anyway i got another one but was thinking about putting in a 3sp manual. The truck was origianly a manual and i never took the clutch pedal or anything out. how hard is it to do? or should i just put another automatic in it?

i bet it wouldn't be hard to put a manual in there. probably need a clutch, flywheel, and all the goodies that go in there

manuals are fun.
things to look at
you might have to change the tranny mount.
the end on the clutch cable might have to be changed. We cut off the end and bolted one of those cable crimping things on it. it worked fine that way.
exhaust might have to be re-routed due to the manual bellhousing.
a hole might have to be cut in the floor for the shifter. (you might have to put bucket seats in it so you can change gears) I had a toploader 5-speed in mine. it wouldn't work with a bench seat.
there are a few things to think about.

sweet, doesnt sound hard at all i already got bucket seats and a hole for the shifter plus i got side pipes and the bell houseing that will work so sounds like thats the way im gonna go, had did u get the clutch to work is there a part u can buy or a easy way to hook it up? thanks

well we just cut the original end off of the cable then threaded the cable through the clutch arm and attatched a cable crimp to it. (I am not sure that is what it is called)....it is a U-bolt shaped piece with nuts on both ends and as you tighten the nuts it smashes the cable together. that worked fine and it is removable.

put a 4 spd in mine I just used a slave cyl. and no I didnt cut nothing and it works just fine
