Hey this video has been available for a little while, but no post was made about it, so I figured I would post a topic just for the RATNLUV video.
the video works alot better if you right click on the link and save it to your computer.

yeah and that was without the nitrous.......or the "fast" engine...

Thanks Travis!! It has had some changes since then (hood, dash, new blower and a few others minor changes).
In the 1st section if you listen you can hear it shift from 1st to 2nd before it is nailed and it is in 2nd when it breaks the tire loose. The pop you here at the end of the 2nd section was the timing too low. After some tuning it runs better and is very fun to drive. I drove it to work Monday and plan on going back to the strip early next year. Can we strap the camera in for a pass or 2????
I am hoping to get to work on the 427 before too much longer.

The video was with Mickey Thompson 29 x 15.50 and the times at the strip was with E/T Street 31 x 14.50.

man it holds you there, but would be alot more efficient if it weren't blowing the tires off of it :D definitely a fun truck.
I can't imagine slicks that have just been heated up.....
wow

Fun it is but keep in mind my main goal was streetable. I can run pump gas and drive it often. I live in the country so if I go to town you are looking at least a 40 mile trip. It is not the fastest thing going but a good streetable ride. It gets attention even with primer and bodywork needed. I am sure someone will but so far no one has jumped on it or wanted to play! It just don't like rain!!!!!
Slicks cut almost a second off the time but I couldn't get them good and hot for wanting to push the truck in the burnout box and the wheel spun inside the slick.I marked the tire and wheel before we went so I could tell if it spun, but didn't have time to put the screws in the rims. I have a line lock and looking at a transbrake but when its cold I don't work outside unless I just have too. My garage is too big to ever get warm.
I haven't finished the Nitrous because it is useless on the street and I want to get the most out of the truck I can before we use the hose. I plan on getting in the 6's (1/8 th mile ) and still drivable. Best time so far is a 7.34 @around 91 M.P.H. with tuning and trying to improve 60 foot time still needed. Also a lot of improvement needed on the driver. I never went down the strip untill last year and so far I have made 3 trips.

1. Broke axle ,bad trip and never got to the other end
2. Mickey Thompson sportsmans were useless 8.20's spinning
3. Street E/T's great improvement 9 passes
