Pray for people in san diego, looks like the whole town is gonna burn down.

i have been out of town and away from civilization for the weekend. Mind filling me in as to whats going on?

Personally, Fire is about 15 miles from me.. but my brother's house may not be there in the morning (he is near the San Diego Fire)

Been keeping up on it when I can. Just got back into Las Vegas so I am two days behind, but from what I saw Friday, it looks like the fires are going to cover a LOT more ground before it's over. Take care, be careful and keep us posted. Fire scares the hell out of me!!!!!!! (Roaches too)

1980 Stepside LUV (Again)

It's pretty crazy here. I'm 30 miles north of San Diego. One fire is right at the edge of the city I live in. (Escondido) All area schools have been shut down. Almost all freeways have a section or two closed. They moved the Monday night football game to Tempe Arizona, because the stadium is being used as an evacuation center. Ash every where!! It is falling like a lite snow.

It really sucks, yesterday (sunday) we were suspose to have our antique drags which we havnt had in 3 years. They were gonna be held at the new 1/8 mile dragstrip in Barona Ca. So yesterday at about 4 in the morning we loaded all our stuff up on trailers and headed that way but we were stopped at a wall of fire. So instead of racing i was stuck in hell helping friends with their horses and belonging. It was the most horrific thing i have ever seen, fires move so fast with 50 mph winds, it will literally send chills up your neck when you see them within a 100 feet of you.

yeah fires are crazy, i was a back country ranger for a few years and i have watched more than one start. Well take care and be safe guys

My parents were evacuated cuz they live right across Mission Gorge road from the where the fire came. I have seen 4 other worse fires in this area over the last 25 or so years but this is the first time they ever evacuated my parents. they were over here chillin with my family but the only prob is that i only live 2 miles further down the road from them so the evac notice came down to houses that were 4 blocks away from mine. I packed up 2 puters and some unreplaceable stuff, loaded up the Colt AR-15, the Glock 17 and the Taurus PT99 (Just in case we encounter looters) and got ready to send the family to the in-laws house. I planned on staying behind to protect the property cuz i knew the fire would never get to my house. got the ladder and the hose and a sprinkler out just in case I had to wet the roof but they got a handle on the fire so... my parents are back in their house today. not sure if i will make it to work tomorrow tho. Its been crazy around here.
