AFTER NOT GETTING TO WORK ON HER FOR A WEEK.I'M SPENDING ALL DAY TOMORROW WORKING ON HER.AFTER BEING ON THE SITE SO MUCH IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY NOT TO GET UNDER THE HOOD. TOMORROW I PLAN TO LIFT HER AND DROP THE OIL PAN(TO GET THE TIMING COVER OFF).HOPEFULLY SHE'S RUNNING BY MONDAY.IT'S KILLING ME NOT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE HER.RIGHT NOW I'M DRIVING MY GIRLFRIENDS 98 NEON(DEATH TRAP,SHE'S HAD IT FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AND NO LIE, IT'S BEEN IN THE SHOP OVER 15 TIMES.NOT LIGHT BULB CHANGING,I'M TALKING ABOUT HEAVY BODY DAMAGE.ABOUT 7 HOURS AFTER MY FIRST CHILD WAS BORN I WAS TAKING IT TO FILL UP THE TANK.SOME DUMB GIRL DIDN'T STOP AT A STOP SIGN AND NAILED ME IN THE FRONTDRIVERS FENDERWELL.DIDN'T DO NOTHING TO HER TALON BUT RIPPED THE FRONT SUSPENSION OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF THE NEON.I THINK IT WAS ABOUT 4700 HUNDRED TO FIX.GET THIS SHE PAID 12000 FOR IT.)AS YOU CAN SEE I WANT MY BABY BACK.I'VE NEVER REALLY HAD ANY MAJOR PROBLEMS UNTIL NOW.THAT'S IF YOU CALL A BLOWN HEAD GASKET A PROBLEM.I GOT IT DOWN TO THE BLOCK LAST WEEK AND I GOT TO SAY I'M IMPRESSED WITH HOW CLEAN IT LOOKS INSIDE.SHE GETS RAN LIKE A RACE CAR.GOING ON 147000 MILES I THOUGHT I WOULD RUN INTO SOME BAD RINGS OR SOMETHING ELSE I DON'T HAVE THE TIME OR MONEY FOR.I DON'T PLAN ON KEEPING THE SAME ENGINE TO LONG FROM NOW BUT I'M POSITIVE THE ENGINE WILL LASTS ANOTHER DECADE.I ACTUALLY PAID 200 FOR HER FROM MY DADS FRIEND.MY DAD RAN INTO THE GUY A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AND THE GUY ASKED HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN IN THE JUNKYARD FOR AND STARTED TO LAUGH.MY DAD CAME BACK AND TOLD HIM HE WOULDN'T EVEN NOTICE IT IF HE SAW IT AND IT'S ALIVE AND VERY WELL.I GUESS THE GUY GOT PI**ED AND WALKED AWAY.
NOT BAD FOR A 23 YEAR OLD ENGINE AND I STILL GET CLOSE TO 400 MILES OUT OF A TANK.BEFORE THE GASKET BLEW I WAS RUNNING THE PAST 3 WEEKS ON THE SAME TANK AND STILL HAVE A 1/4 LEFT.THANK GOD FOR K & N AIR FILTERS.THERE GREAT.I'M HIGHLY IMPRESSED WHAT THE FILTER CAN DO FOR GAS AND HORSEPOWER.I'LL KEEP EVERYBODY UPDATED
