Gonna start a build thread as soon as I can get started, hoping to start the tear down this weekend. More pics to come, but since it's still up on CL you can at least see what I'm starting with.

Damn nice find. From the looks of it the body is worth the asking price alone.

I seen that one on there, if I was still in Westminster, I would have tried to beat you to it! Wasnt nothing but crap the last couple of years on CL in the Colorado area while I was there when I was wanting to get a 4x, that one looked pretty nice! Lets see some more pics!!

And nope Rondog, that is a Colorado plate they had back in the 90's, had one on my S10 way better looking than the crappy green and white plates

Indeed it is, the truck was originally in the Barstow area. Came to Colorado back in about 94 or so, the guy I bought it from bought it from the owner from CA. The body is one of the best I've seen in a long time considering it has been sitting since at least 95. The engine was rebuilt back in 94/95 but has never been installed or run, so not sure what condition it is really in. All the parts are there, some new some not, to put it back together, so it's going to be a long process but a fun one. Gonna get my kids involved in helping out since they seem to be showing an interest. My 17 yr daughter is taking welding next year and wants to start learning so figured this would be a good project for us.

I'm going to start the tear down and documenting this weekend so expect some more pics next week.

Chad

I hear ya Tilt, I'm surprised it was still there when I found it. Was on there for a few days before I got to it, he said a few people called but never called back or showed up, so luck was on my side. Just happy I was in a position to be able to pick it up. The pickings really have been slim, especially for 4x4's.

Thanks to everybody for the comments and compliments.

Chad

You ever decide you want to sell it, give me a shout, I will probably be down there in November for some Monday Night Football! Which leads to a way off topic question, you dont know anybody with Broncos tix for sale do you (gotta see my boys in black and gold)???

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.
