finally got the new motor in and took it on a test run to Lake Isabella ... btw... finally got the stock 4x4 rims on what do you think?

Bob,

Looks good ! I have a set of 4x4 wheels from my 79 4x4 and I have thought about using them on my 80 2x4, but I wasn`t sure if they would look right on a 2x4. The spare from my 4x4 has never been on the ground. Still has the original Japanese BF Goodrich tire on it.

Your truck looks like it is in about the same stage of completion as my truck. I hope to have mine painted soon so I can drive it in the local 4th of July parade this year. But, I have been saying that for the last 9 years ! lol.
