I know some of you ordered Tubing Bender plans from Trike-Pedaler. Almost as soon as I paid for them someone from a foreigh I.P. address was trying to hack into my Paypal account. I'm not accusing anybody, but several things seem suspect to me. The guy has a way of wording his sentenances that seems east european in origin to me. There are also several other things on his website that don't seem right that I won't get into right now, but check your account if you have one.

I get those sometimes. I found out that the foreign IP address notification will also come up if you log in to your account from a computer other than the one you registered on. I initiated my account on my work 'puter and if I use my 'puter at home I will get the foreign IP address thing sometimes. I have also got the notification a couple of times followed a couple of days later by a paypal account verification notification that is a phishing scam. If you get one asking fo your account info, send it to spoof@paypal.com.

I hate to say this guys, but as far as I know, ANY of those emails about the foreign IP log in are fake. I've gotten lots of those and not one of them have been legit.

I've also used my paypal account from a couple different places.

What probably happened is your email address was sold without your permission to spammers. Now they are trying to scam you and get your paypal info.

Paypal has some info about spoofing and phishing. They even have a "challenge" test you can take. https://www.paypal.com/fightphishing

Just remember the "golden rule", neither PayPal nor Ebay will EVER send you an email asking to verify your account info.

My first thought is I've just bought some plans over the internet for a tubing bender from a guy who is really trying to get a handle on the English language. He sounds like he's from eastern europe and blah blah blah.
Paranoid I know, and I don't have a clue to what's really happened or who's behind it. I just freaked because of all the trouble I've seen other people go through having to travel all over the country and nobody believes they got ripped off and nobody to help, and it takes on average two years to get your credit back in good standing. I don't have much in there, but what little I do have is still there. Whoooooooooffff
